Adding a Battery storage system to your home or business is one of the best ways to save on your energy bills. If you have a solar system in place but do not have a battery this is an absolute must have add on. If you do not have or cannot get a solar system you can still save with a battery storage system.
I have a solar system
So if you already have Solar and are not utalising all of the power you should be getting a feed in tarrif from your supplier. This can range from as little as 5p upto 15p (More if you managed to sign up to the very old deal). However later in the day when the sun has gone down and your solar is no longer producing you may need to buy that back from your energy provider and they will charge a nice mark up on the energy you sold them earlier. Which is good green energy, helping us all to get to net Zero but not helping you with your energy bill. If you had stored it in a battery you could then just re-use it when you needed to. ont loose it re-use it!!
I don’t have a Solar system
If you do not have a Solar system and cannot get one (even if you live in a flat) you can still benfit from a battery storage system. Currently there are many offers out there for cheap night time energy “off peak deals”. You can instal a battery storage system and take advantage of these delas. You buy the energy at night for say around 7p per KWh, charge your battery and use it during the peak hours. Normal peak hour rates are around 29p per KWh. Thats a saving of 22p per KWh you use. The average household usses around 10KWh per day saving you £2.20 per day £66 per month of your electric bill thats a Massive £792 per year. a Larger house average is around 15KWh per day saving you £3.30 per day nearly £100 per month of your electric bill thats a Massive £1200 per year. You know the saying “count the pennys and the pounds will count themselves’. Our aim is to get you a return on investment within 5-7 years. Meaning what you pay out you get back in savings within that time frame. After that it is all extra savings.
